Thank you for visiting my web-site. I am a candidate for the U.S. Congress, Michigan 13th District, which includes Wyandotte, Lincoln Park, Ecorse, River Rouge, half of Detroit along the river, the five Grosse Pointes, and Harper Woods.

As noted below in my biographical points, I was raised in the City of Detroit, where I graduated from Cass Technical High School, and have Bachelors Degrees in both Biology and Chemistry from Wayne State.

My 20 year career as a Chemical Research Technician gives me an insight into the way that industry works, what employers need in order to be successful and, therefore, keep jobs here. We need jobs and we need to attract businesses to our communities and Michigan.

According to recent polls, Congress’s approval rating is in the single digits. I want to be part of the team that puts American confidence back into Congress. I am committed to defending individual liberties, families, and the Christian principles upon which our nation was founded.

Furthermore, this race is not about Republicans versus Democrats; I have a lot of support among Democrats. Instead this is a race between a pro-family Conservative and one of the most liberal members in Congress. I have been interviewed by a number of local newspapers as well as by Neal Rubin whose Detroit News article appeared on Thursday, October 24, 2008 and is linked here under Ed Gubics In The News.

My team and I have been meeting people in the district from the Grosse Pointes, Detroit, and Downriver, on the streets, at senior citizen meetings, and at speakers’ forums. The five Grosse Pointe mayors have endorsed my candidacy, as has Gloria Rocha from Mexicantown Travel. Many Democrats support me because I will bring integrity to Congress and represent ALL of the people in the 13th District.
